Home of Classy San Colonel - "Quigley"
After 16 years of breeding, training, raising and selling beautiful Quigley babies, Crazy Horse Ranch is retiring our amazing stallion Classy San Colonel. We love this stallion and love his babies. He will be retired on the ranch in his beautiful 2 acre pasture with shelter and lots of love.
So the ranch is going to shift directions a bit. We will still be running a full lesson program and doing cattle clinics as well as our amazing obstacle and groundwork clinics. We have recently done a few riding to music clinics which has been a ton of fun.
The one new thing we will be offering is limited open boarding. We are hoping to make the transition over to allowing new people to board here. The facility is not a huge facility so boarders will be limited as to not congest the barn too much. The facility is a private facility and so priority for arena use will go to lesson people. They are happy to share the barn but the student having a lesson will be given the right of way so they can continue to learn and progress. Most everyone is happy to share and the barn is plenty big for up to 10 people at a time.
As a boarding facility we will offer pasture board with horses who can be turned out and get along well with other horses. We have large pens with irrigation water in them during the irrigation season. During the winter months these horses would either be moved to allow access to water or would be put out in pasture board. We are in the process of adding 4 shelters that will be 14 X 16 with pipe corrals that vary in size. We also have a limited number of stalls with runs as well as shelters with large pens. Prices vary. All horses who are boarded must come in with up to date vaccinations and deworming. Call or email for availability.
Training is a big part of what we do here - for horses and owners. In addition to cow work, we provide training under English saddle for dressage, hunter-jumper and eventing. We have boarding accommodations for horses placed in full-time training and do scheduled lessons for riders in their discipline of choice or general horsemanship with their horses. See our Training section for detailed information. See what some of our clients say about the training experience at Crazy Horse Ranch on the Feedback Page.
We welcome visitors to the ranch and hope you will contact us for a time to stop in at our facility. If we know you're coming we can be sure and make time to visit with you!
